    Birdwatch with Me!

    Kids, grab your parent, aunt, grandpa or friend and join us for an introduction to birdwatching! Learn the basics of how to use binoculars, habitats and migration patterns and how to spot those birds! Then take a hike on the Hawthorn trail and practice spotting some birds! We will lead a short lesson at the Babler Outdoor Education Center before driving to the Hawthorn trail located nearby in Babler State Park. Course is taught by Community Ed Instructors.     Learn the basics of this precision sport that you can continue when you head home with free ranges located all around St. Louis county. All equipment provided. Bows are appropriate weight/height for youth age 10+ to adult. Taught by Community Ed Instructors.     Take a load off at the end of a long week and break out your favorite onesie or pajama outfit while having a fun night with the family! We'll order pizza and salad and cap it off by making an ice cream sundae. Play games, do crafts and enjoy an evening in your pjs with us! Instructor: Community Education Staff.     Parent/Child Outdoor Cooking

    Prepare to amaze your family on your next camping trip or backyard campfire with the tips and tricks you will practice while making a yummy lunch for yourself! Practice different techniques from dutch ovens to solar ovens! We can accomodate for food allergies and dietary restrictions. Taught by Community Ed Instructors.   • Spring Parent & Me: Outdoor Ed Experience

    Indulge in nature and experience a day outdoors with your little one as you engage in activities that will help you build your "outdoor toolbox", including: a short hike/storybook walk, and more on the beautiful grounds of Babler State Park. Engage with your child and other families in new ways that you can adopt into your everyday leisure time. This program is taught by a CE instructor and in collaboration with Parkway and Rockwood Parents As Teachers Programs.   • Tall & Small: Acro Trix

    Learn fun, partner Acro tricks with your child. You will discover what you are capable of as well! You will need to be able to hold the weight of your child in a variety different positions but will also learn more basic partner holds as well. These moves will be incorporated into choreography in the 8 week session. This class is taught in collaboration with St. Lou Dance Crew.     Does your child like to cook? Add a new weeknight meal to your list that they can help your prepare or make on their own! Each week will include a new, kid friendly meal that you and your child will prepare together. Please let us know about all food allergies and dietary restrictions at least 2 weeks before the class.
