    Adult Basic Education & High School Equivalency Preparation We offer a variety of free adult education services for individuals 17 and older. Classes are individualized. Students work at their own pace on the skills they need. In classes you will: Improve Basic reading, writing, and math skills Develop Workforce skills Prepare for the Missouri High School Equivalency Tests (HSE/GED) Prepare for Postsecondary Education Prepare for the WorkKeys and Job Placement tests By attending classes you can: Invest in your future Improve your skills Earn your HS diploma/credential Qualify for a better job Prepare for college or a technical school Summer classes will begin on July 6, 2021 and continue through August 18th. Both online and in-person classes are available. For a list of online classes classes, search "Adult online Programs." Students must attend a virtual testing and/or orientation session prior to July 6th. Once our office receives your application, a staff member will contact you regarding testing and/or orientation.     English as a Second Language We offer classes for adults whose first language is not English. Students in beginning classes learn to speak, listen for understanding, read, and write English. Intermediate and advanced students have the opportunity to improve conversation, grammar, pronunciation, reading, and writing. Other classes include: U.S. Government and History Citizenship TOEFL Summer classes will begin on July 6, 2021 and continue through August 18th. Both online and in-person classes are available.
