  • Super Saturday: Holiday Arts & Ornaments

    Get in the holiday spirit and create a memory you can put on your tree! Drop your kiddo off for a morning of fun as you get some holiday shopping done. Participants will have the option to create ornaments from multiple different mediums, make them their own, and have something to bring home to deck-the-halls for the holidays! Think It, Build it, Break it! | February 23 | Dear future engineers, can you build the strongest bridge? How about the tallest tower? Try out some of our favorite games that we have changed just enough to keep them interesting! run the bases backwards, throw a soccer ball, and get ready to mix it up. Experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Make different masterpieces each week such as sculptures, masks, canvases, buses, and more! Bring the unique creations home and build a globally-inspired art gallery.

Act like junior architects and engineers! Test out shapes for strength and build a bridge. Make liquids turn into solids and watch objects disappear as you uncover the science of magic. Discover how your bike wheel is like a gyroscope and strike the perfect balance as you find your center of gravity. Investigate conductors, insulators, and other elements in the world of circuit electricity.

    Children learn the basics of Robotics using LEGOs award winning WeDo 2.0 software and LEGOs newest Robotics, SPIKE Prime.     Do you like to chuckle? Do you enjoy making others laugh? This class is designed to bring out the sense of humor within you---while having a blast in the process! You’ll learn hilarious skits and jokes, how to deliver them, and what makes something funny. You’ll experience theater games, and you’ll take home a new gag each week—such as silly glasses, squirting cameras, snapping gum, and many more! Class culminates with students putting on a family comedy show. Goals are to develop public speaking skills, comedic creativity, and to have a lot of laughs!

    What is 11+18+27+35+42? 96-47? 58x62? What if your child could solve these and many more like them instantly? In their head! And apply these techniques to similar problems they encounter. Build your child’s mental math foundations in our brand new class, Math Whizzes in the Making. We’ll cover tricks for rapid mental addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Students will also learn math magic tricks that hone these mental arithmetic skills, and bring home a fun mathemagic-related prop each class. In addition to the weekly show that you are likely to receive of your math whiz’s new tricks, the program culminates with students putting on a math wizard demonstration for their families the final class.

    You won’t believe how much fun you can have with balloons! You’ll learn to twist lots of different animals. You’ll take home your creations to proudly show each week! You’ll also take home a different novelty balloon each week, including a helicopter balloon that flies, a balloon you’ll make that bounces, a rocket balloon, a race car balloon,… Class culminates with the students putting on an exhibition of their balloon crafting talents for their families.

Discover design careers like graphic design, fashion design, urban design, and board game design.
