    Exhibitor Registration Opens October 4 In 2022, over 2,000 people attended Summer Expo looking to answer the question - What will my kids be doing this summer? Join us as an exhibitor at the best summer camp expo in St. Louis! Exhibitor booths have sold out the last five years, so be sure to register early to secure your spot! Summer Expo is presented by Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed and sponsored by STL Camps, part of STL Parent. Summer Expo Sunday, February 5, 2023 11-3 p.m. Marquette High School, 2351 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield MO 63017 Exhibitor Fee: Before January 1 - $185 January 1 or Later - $205 Exhibitor receives one table (72"x30") with electric, two chairs, two lunches, one table sign and inclusion in the printed exhibitor guide. Note: Registration must be received before January 23 to guarantee inclusion in the printed exhibitor guide. Note: All exhibitor tables must have a table skirt. If you do not have one, there is an additional $10 fee and one will be provided for you. The exhibitor registration deadline is January 31, 2023. Registrations will be accepted and exhibitor tables assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year's Summer Expo sold out, so be sure to register early to secure your spot as an exhibitor. Sharing of tables is not allowed. There is a maximum of one organization allowed per table. There will be no refunds for the Summer Expo after January 1, 2023. Electric for all booths will be provided by Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed, but vendors are responsible for providing their own extension cord (we recommend an extension cord of at least 25 feet). Electric may only be used to power small electronic items, such as laptops, tablets or other low power equipment for this Expo. Vendors working the Expo should be over 18 years old. If minors will be working the Expo, we will still expect at least one adult over 18 years old to work with them. COVID Health & Safety Guidelines - The health and safety of Summer Expo attendees and exhibitors is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the current pandemic situation and will make adjustments to the event as necessary to ensure appropriate health and safety protocols. Protocols will be provided as we get closer to event day. If the event needed to be cancelled due to the pandemic, exhibitors will receive a full refund. In this 3-part series of hour-long sessions for parents, you will become familiar with the world of Orton-Gillingham and Structured Literacy, take a tour of a lesson, and learn what you can do at home to work with your child. Part 1: What is Structured Literacy Instruction? (And Why It's Important for Your Struggling Reader) Orton-Gillingham, also known as Structured Literacy, is the most effective reading instruction in helping struggling readers and spellers build and strengthen their skills. Learn about the Science of Reading, what Orton-Gillingham and Structured Literacy instruction are all about, and what you should be looking for in a qualified tutor for your child. Part 2: Experience a Structured Literacy Lesson As a parent, you may wonder what happens when you send your child in for an Orton-Gillingham tutoring session. Take a tour of a typical session to experience a multisensory structured language lesson.   • Self Defense Class for Teen Girls

    Develop confidence, self-control and calmness while learning self-defense and having FUN! Black belt instructor encourages rather than intimidates and teaches hand/foot techniques including throws and breaking free from an attacker. Instructor shows how to use leverage and momentum to target the vulnerable areas, and how to break free from an attacker, plus easy-to-learn strikes, and blocks -- hands on -- while having fun! Participants practice various tactics of defense and offense but never need to do anything that feels uncomfortable to them. It really isn't about strength or size, but attitude and skill. You can fight back, escape and survive in seemingly indefensible situations. While self-defense is very serious, learning it doesn't have to be. The classes are educational, yes but always fun. Long pants & smooth long-sleeved shirt. For safety, pant legs must not reach the floor. Must remove shoes and socks(indoors)… and always remove jewelry (or leave at home).
