Historic Hotels of St. Louis
Throughout its history, St. Louis has been home to many of the finest and largest hotels in America. Among St. Louis' posh 19th century hotels were the Southern, National, Planters and Lindell. Thanks to fire, neglect and the economy, these hotels no longer exist, but countless stories about the hotels and their famous guests remain. On the other hand, we have recently witnessed the awesome restoration and conversion of some of the early 20th century hotels and buildings into first class landmark hotels. The ballrooms, public spaces and dining areas of these hotels are magnificent. Lunch will be at St. Maronite Church. This trip is Activity Level 2 (see Acitivity Levels below).
