    Gather your friends, grab your stringed instrument and join us for an exciting week of orchestra camp. This fun interactive camp for all skill levels features daily themes and includes group instructional time, ensemble orchestra classes, guest speakers and snack/recreational time. Directed by Rockwood Teachers Lindsey Jones and Kyle Gilhaus. (Students must provide their own instruments.)   • Aqua Aerobics - Summer

    Low impact workout challenges those who want to get in shape. Aqua Aerobics classes incorporate low cardio, muscle toning, strengthening and balance work. Deep water, shallow water, and water walking classes meet 2 times per week. Learn more about our new Water Walking program in this video. Gold Card/Golden Key Card members (district residents ages 60 and older) receive a 50% discount for this class. The discounted rate will automatically be applied at checkout. You must have a Gold Card/Golden Key Card issued in your name to receive the discounted rate.   • Pre-competitive Swim Team - Rockwood Summit High School (Summer)

    This program is for the Swim School level 6 swimmer who wants to go to the next level beyond the instructional focus of the group classes. Compared to Swim School group lessons, the pre-competitive classes are longer, more endurance-based, and meet twice a week. Coaching is conducted from the deck and will be very similar to a competitive swim club practice. This group is also perfect for anyone who enjoyed summer league swimming, and wants to continue swimming during the school year but is not able to commit to or qualify for a year-round competitive swim team. Pre-competitive classes will strive to refine stroke technique so if your child is still having trouble learning the butterfly and/or breaststroke you might want to consider taking a Swim School group lesson class. Qualifications: 50 yards freestyle, 25 yards backstroke and have an idea of how to swim breaststroke and butterfly; or be in station 6 in Swim School.

    BablerWiLD:Wk 9: WiLD Summer Sampler | 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. | Grades K-6 | Babler OEC Outpost | $279 The best of the best, finish your summer up right with a week of all of our favorite BablerWiLD activities! Campers will enjoy activities with their assigned groups as well as get to choose their own adventure each day as we offer up different activities from throughout the summer. BablerWiLD is an outdoor and nature based summer day camp located inside Babler Memorial State Park. Each week includes BablerWiLD's favorite activities such as creek walks, tag games, arts and crafts as well as specialty activities based around each week's individual themes.     The parent/child classes are designed to have parents in the pool with their child age six months through two years old. Through the use of songs and games, we will offer the opportunity for the parent and child to work together and learn skills that will be necessary in other Swim School lessons.
  • Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Girls U15-U18 Competitive Teams Tryouts

    A competitive program where teams are formed and divided by age and skill level. Teams compete in multiple tournaments during the season both in and out of state. Tryouts are open to all athletes who meet the Gateway age requirements. Tryout times will be determined in early July and posted at the Rockwood Thunder website. U15 6pm Lafayette High School U16 6pm Eureka HS School u17 and U18 5pm Wildwood Middle School Tryout fee is a non-refundable $30 fee per player.
