Historic West County Homes

Frank Lloyd Wright, the most famous American architect, designed a USOnian Kirkwood home for Russel and Ruth Kraus. Tour this interesting 1950’s house, and then contrast that with a visit to Kirkwood’s Victorian Mudd’s Grove. After lunch at the Sappington Barn Restaurant in Crestwood, visit the Sappington House Museum and Americana Library. The oldest brick house in St. Louis County, Thomas Sappington built the home for his bride in 1808. Lastly, we’ll tour the historic and beautiful 1857 Hawken House in Webster Groves. This day is an architectural delight!
